about us

The Gravning Approach

For us, an assignment is more than just working through work packages and reaching project milestones. We feel part of our clients’ team and see ourselves as trailblazers and firm companions for the projects ahead. No matter how stormy the wind blows, we support our project teams with solution expertise and a doer mentality.

We believe that work does not have to happen in one place. For us, work is an event that takes place. This can be on-site, virtual or hybrid. Accordingly, our crew members have the equipment and mindset to do our job from anywhere.

We have all agile and classic project methods in our toolbox and are always ready to expand it. We have recognised that communication is often part of the problem, but also part of the solution. It is therefore important for us to plan our meetings well and then conduct them stringently and efficiently.

Enjoying our work together is important to us. For us, this also includes celebrating the achieved goals and successes together with our clients.

Sustainability & CSR

We have understood that there is no second planet Earth and that protecting the climate is the greatest challenge of our generation. That is why, as a consultancy, we take the issue of sustainability into account in all our projects and operational decisions and aim to constantly improve.

That means for us:

Awareness of our CO2 footprint and climate protection in everyday life

Our crew strives to use public transport as much as possible in their daily business. We are also converting our company fleet to alternative drive technologies and there will soon be company bicycles.

Sustainable consumption

We believe that it makes sense to use things up instead of buying new. We use recycled office equipment where possible. At our events, we pay attention to the sustainable production of the food and drinks served. When purchasing, we choose brands and products that do not make a profit at the expense of the environment.

Consulting with attitude

We have a fair and appreciative approach within the crew and towards our clients and believe that respectful interaction is the basis for long-term relationships.

We donate part of our profits every year. Independently of this, the crew is surprised with a Christmas party every year. This takes place at different locations. In the run-up to the event, everyone submits a tip. The winner gets to decide which charity we donate to.

History:

Origin “Gravning”

We named ourselves after the third first name of the Norwegian South Pole conqueror Roald Engelbregt Gravning Amundsen. Roald E. Gravning Amundsen and his team conquered the South Pole on 14 December 1911. This event in itself is impressive enough.

The way in which the conquest of the South Pole came about is the main reason for our choice of name, along with our founder Jan’s early admiration for Amundsen and his achievements. The unprecedented approach of Amundsen and his team in conquering the South Pole is transferable to the way we work and think as a crew.

Gravning’s crew also has the courage to think differently, to look at things from a different perspective and to find new approaches or even new worthwhile goals. We are also curious and open to new things.
